An important item if you have an automatic watch
I have 4 impulsive watches and 2 (2 watch) winders for them. I recently purchased my 5th Invicta Pro Diver and needed a take watch winder. I have ordered from Amazon several times and have always like their good prices on everything I have purchased. I ordered the Diplomat winder. When I opened the box, I was very impressed by its worth. The instructions were very easy to follow. My other winders are very good and work well. However, one couldn't call them quiet. The Diplomat is bloody quiet. It is on a bookcase just a few feet from my desk. It is so quiet that I have to check if it's running. If you have one robot-like watch, I would wholeheartedly recommend the Diplomat. It works well and is also an attractive accessory. I have an Invicta Offshore Diver watch that is 47mm in hugeness and very heavy. My other winders couldn't turn it fast enough to keep the watch from losing time. Perfected for larger Invicta
I in days gone by purchased a low priced watch winder from Overstock for my husband and returned it because it stopped working immediately. That judgement made me hesitant about the $40 Diplomat from Amazon. But I was pleasantly surprised - we have had the unit for one week now and it works devoted - one hour winding and three hours at rest. My husband has a larger faced Invicta watch but it panic perfectly in the case. The watch is placed on a removable watch holder. Also, the unit makes no noise at all! The line is a decent length, and there is an option for clockwise or counter-clockwise rotation. The Diplomat weights 14.10 ounces (400 grams). The winder works flawlessly for our automatic watch, and I recommend it.

Works crucial!
I legitimate received this as a gift in the black color but it seems to work great. I can't comment on how long it will maintain up but will make sure to update this post should the thing die a premature death. The watch fits into the winder in the end well and is easy to put in and take out. (I am using it for a Submariner). Also, the 1 hour / 3 hour timer seems to be working just as expected. As long as this holds up, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't get one.

Budget-priced and quiet
It's very misleading that this output be described as "burl wood" when it's really 100% plastic. Not a bit of wood in there. Looks like bogus, feels like plastic, thin and inexpensive. However, the thing works, it is almost silent (few winders, regardless of guerdon, can claim that) and has several programs to choose from. If it lasts, then I'll be happy. I do wish that Amazon would be more accurate in their similes though.

Extensive price...Great watch winder
I recieved this watch winder from Amazon awhile back and can't imagine how quiet it is. I have to put my ear right next to the winder to hear it run. I have two automatic watches and could not have made a better choice on the looks of the wood and the fee. Let your fears fad away on this inexpensive winder. I would put this winder up against winders that cost hundreds of dollars.....Thanks Amazon and Diplomat.

This knee-jerk watch winder is beautiful, comes with 4 watch pillows: 2 smaller ones and 2 bigger ones although the big ones were excellent for my women's watches. The item arrived promptly, about 10 days before I expected. The winder is not little so be sure to have a place prepared for it where it will have plenty of room like your dresser or a bookcase shelf, liberal desk, closet shelf, etc. It's nice that you can put batteries in it in case there is no ac plug nearby. It is ultra ease and has a blue button that tells you when it's on. (But if you like to sleep in complete darkness, you might not like the sporadic blue light that shows it's on, but on standby mode). The biggest con I have found, however, is that your automatic watch must already be fully or not quite wound for the winder to keep your watch maintained in its "wound" or working mode, otherwise your watch will die even if you keep your watch winder on 24/7 with your watch(es) in it for even a couple of days.
