The communications and prominence updates from our Chief of Police, our shelter remaining open to be serviceable as the needs of the community, emergency responders, volunteers, merchants and citizens. Crisis Management Director Donald C. Elliott is overseeing the shelter, and Donna J. Mullen, a fellow of the Community Emergency Response Team, has been manning the shelter everyday, with help from volunteers, including Venture Crew 164. The shelter was bustling with activity on Saturday, a week after the devastating storm knocked out power throughout the zone.
