An elemental item if you have an automatic watch
I have 4 reflex watches and 2 (2 watch) winders for them. I recently purchased my 5th Invicta Pro Diver and needed a cull watch winder. I have ordered from Amazon several times and have always like their good prices on everything I have purchased. I ordered the Diplomat winder. When I opened the box, I was very impressed by its value. The instructions were very easy to follow. My other winders are very good and work well. However, one couldn't call them quiet. The Diplomat is darned quiet. It is on a bookcase just a few feet from my desk. It is so quiet that I have to check if it's running. If you have one spontaneous watch, I would wholeheartedly recommend the Diplomat. It works well and is also an attractive accessory. I have an Invicta Offshore Diver watch that is 47mm in take the measure of and very heavy. My other winders couldn't turn it fast enough to keep the watch from losing time. Perfect for larger Invicta
I times purchased a low priced watch winder from Overstock for my husband and returned it because it stopped working immediately. That happening made me hesitant about the $40 Diplomat from Amazon. But I was pleasantly surprised - we have had the unit for one week now and it works true - one hour winding and three hours at rest. My husband has a larger faced Invicta watch but it panic perfectly in the case. The watch is placed on a removable watch holder. Also, the unit makes no noise at all! The twine is a decent length, and there is an option for clockwise or counter-clockwise rotation. The Diplomat weights 14.10 ounces (400 grams). The winder works literally for our automatic watch, and I recommend it.

Works intimate!
I ethical received this as a gift in the black color but it seems to work great. I can't comment on how long it will propose up but will make sure to update this post should the thing die a premature death. The watch fits into the winder at the end of the day well and is easy to put in and take out. (I am using it for a Submariner). Also, the 1 hour / 3 hour timer seems to be working precisely as expected. As long as this holds up, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't get one.

Cheap and quiet
It's very misleading that this effect be described as "burl wood" when it's really 100% plastic. Not a bit of wood in there. Looks like paste, feels like plastic, thin and inexpensive. However, the thing works, it is almost silent (few winders, regardless of value, can claim that) and has several programs to choose from. If it lasts, then I'll be happy. I do wish that Amazon would be more accurate in their similes though.

Significant price...Great watch winder
I recieved this watch winder from Amazon awhile back and can't find creditable how quiet it is. I have to put my ear right next to the winder to hear it run. I have two automatic watches and could not have made a better choice on the looks of the wood and the charge. Let your fears fad away on this inexpensive winder. I would put this winder up against winders that cost hundreds of dollars.....Thanks Amazon and Diplomat.

Grand winder for the money - and display, to boot!
I have a gang of automatic watches and multi-winders in which they're stored when not worn. However, my prize is the Rolex Datejust SS & Gold bars watch my late father wore. While it is too precious to wear except on very special occasions, I did not want it locked to a different place in a big cabinet with all of the others. This handy winder with the viewport was the perfect answer. It sits proudly on my credenza in my deliberate over, so that I can see the watch whenever I want - and the wonderful memories it evokes. True, it does make a slight rational when rotating. However, for me it is a reminder to let my gaze wonder over to the watch, so the "noise" - such as it is - is a bonus. The slow assist of the winder and the automatic "1-hour-on-and-3-hours-off" helps guard against overwinding. The choice of "clockwise" or "anti-clockwise" rotation is impressive - some automatics will not wind but one direction. Check your watch manual, your jeweler or the manufacturer to be sure...

Works, until it doesn't. If you can solder... it's a nurse.
Had this winder for about two years. It stopped working after about a year, and I regard that was it - get what you pay for. But I refused to buy a 2nd one, or a more expensive one. So I opened it up (to seemingly find nothing wrong), smacked it around and left it in the garage ("dog for nothing") for a month, and it started working again... for a few months, then it didn't, again. Finally, I thought I had nothing else to be deprived of, so I opened it up again. This time I saw the problem. The control chip had one of the wires that were soldered to it that was gradually imminent off. This time, it had completely broken off, and wasn't connected to the solder point. The wires are breakable, but whatever. I re-stripped the wire, soldered it back on, and now it's working like new again. Until, I imagine, the internal movements agency something else to wear down.

Gigantic BUY
I own six diplomat winders including this hardly any gem. It spins a 270 gram watch with no difficulty. I have had mine for four months and keep it near my bed. The movement is soundless and runs like a champ. I have had charitable success with the diplomat brand of winders as oppossed to the problems some have had with the more expensive brands. A enormous piece of furniture this is not. It just does the job of keeping your watches wound. Watches with a max combination width of 26mm and 50mm case width should fit.
