looks healthier in person
My allay picked out this watch on line as the one he wanted for Christmas. I was not real pleased when I first saw it. But it looks very strict on his wrist. Not sure why the change, but I am very pleased now and he loves it. It doesn't say it is rose gold, but it is.
Fine inexpensive dress watch with some heritage
This sentry could fairly be called the "grandson" of the lovely Bulova Accutrons of the 1960s with their famous sweep aide-de-camp hands. While I think I read the Precisionist beats at 16 beats per second (next fastest I have are Longines and Zeniths at 10 beats per damaged), to the naked eye, the watch sweep hand moves absolutely smoothly, no ticking, hacking, pulses, etc. We cold watch purists, hate quartz watches, primarily because of that clodding one beat per other movement. The Precisionist is absolutely smooth and appealing to the eye (at least this gold tone Longwood). Untypical many a new model, its of reasonable size (about 40mm), has a very visible dial with good contrast, hacks for perfect setting, has a quickset date and a very nice (looking AND smelling!) Bulova leather strap on a worthy deployment, something usually found on more expensive watches. This is a lovely watch. The soft rose color is very nice and stylish. The leather band has a irascible release tab. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Accutron Astronaut Narrow Edition
A sensitive homage of the original 214 Tuning Fork driven Astronaut Watch. It now has an ETA 2893-2 spontaneous, mechanical 21-jewel GMT movement, with a large red-tipped 24-hour steadily and fixed anodized 24-hour bezel. Other features are a sapphire crystal, a very trustworthy, stainless steel bracelet with a locking deployment buckle closure, 100m qualify resistance, and a four-screw exhibition caseback, numbered to show each piece's position within the limited run. It is also etched with the signature seal of former astronaut and moon-walker Buzz Aldrin. This Astronaut version is larger than the case though the case is similarly shaped. It has a functional but very small crown on the side which the original didn't (the hands were set from the caseback). I rated it only 4 stars because of the firm bezel, which limits its use as a multi-time zone watch, and the poor luminous colouring used on the hands and minute markers. No excuse for poor "lume" with the very careful Super Luminova...

That seemed a bit funny to me. Not that Bulova wouldn't desire Branson brandishing their watches, but rather that Branson - being mega-affluent, and proprietor of the monstrous Virgin unit - would have zero constraint to determine the connecting. I still don't be acquainted with the particulars of the relationship (force I am pensive), but Branson is usual to be the Bulova bill babe for a while. He has indicated that lolly made from his relationship with Bulova will go erect to his Virgin Blend big-heartedness, and some of the proceeds from the available of the watches will also go to the humanity....

I was wondering because me and my dad were looking at his rare 1970's bulova accutron spaceview care for and when he passed it to me we got a shock and wasn't sure if it could do any damage to it.
If the come what may is made of metal, probably not. The case would act as a miniature Faraday cage. Any static do battle with would have been on the outside surface only.
