Egregious looking and heavy chronograph watch. Diamonds are almost invisible, but still a great value.
I was very blithe when I opened the package and saw this watch. The words that come to mind when describing this timepiece are substantial, solid, beautiful. It is a chronograph and therefore it has the size and heft of a chronograph. The ladies model is somewhat big when compared to the more delicate jewelery watches available for ladies. To give you an idea of the make an estimate of, the dial is about 1.5 inches across (the middle glass section is a tiny bit bigger than a fifteen minutes + the bezel). The strap is also wide at little more than half an inch (5/8"). The model copy is #4718 which is the stainless steel watch with a mix of stainless brushed and polished finish condign like the picture. (The #4719 mentioned by another reviewer is the two tone stainless and gold model.) The case of this observe is thick too, just over 1 cm (7/16") so don't go for this watch if you are looking for a slimmer and lighter watch. In fact, the image made this watch look more delicate than it is in person...

I received this be on the watch today. I purchased it as a "gold box" buy for $179. Seemed like an excellent buy. But, there are a few "untruths" given as the item commentary. * The model number of the watch is actually #4719, not #4718 * The (16 handset, sparkling diamonds) are the most ridiculously shamed chips I have ever seen, actually they are literally too small to be seen. The picture shown and kidney makes you believe that even though small, they would be visible. Not so. * When you hold the watch to your ear to hear the "tick tick" of the in the second place hand, it skips and is clearly irregular. I haven't had it long enough to tell if it keeps apposite time yet. * The back of the watch case (with the model#) is twisted around. I don't know if that is important, but it seems like for a nicer label watch it should be put together better. On the positive side, it is a heavy, significant watch. It is shiny, nice looking and wearable as an dull...

I ordered this as a gold box extra. For 179.00, I am very pleased with my purchase. The mother of pearl face is far nicer in person, and the portray on the website does not do this watch justice. Yes, as the other reviewers noted, the diamonds are very, very small. However, it is well-grounded enough bling to accentuate this piece. The chronograph functions work great, and my jeweler sized the be on the watch for me free of charge and noted this was a great price for this watch. Also, the extended warranty offered to amazon customers, a 35.00 value, gives you a amount of a 5 year warranty. Overall, I am very pleased.

Outstanding Value for Money
This sentinel was touted in the August 2011 issue of GQ under the title, "I can't believe it's not vintage." The cut article states in part, "The coolest timepieces right now look like something your dad bought decades ago..." This cautious of certainly fits that description. It is simple, functional and very understated, all of which combines to give this timepiece its basic appeal. Some watches costing 10 times as much don't look as good. The watch can be beat with a suit or with casual clothes. This is a must have watch for the man with limited means who wants to look his master. I own watches which cost quite a bit more, but I still went out and purchased this one to give me flexibility in my wardrobe. Purchase this lookout along with Bulova model 96B104; you will spend under $250 (in total) and will always have a classy looking watch to apparel whatever the occasion.

Matchless Choice For Dark Suits and Tuxedos
This Bulova has a first-rate face which catches and reflects the light and gives it a nice silver sheen. The thumbnail is very slim and fits excellently under the cuff of a dress shirt or French cuffs. The leather line is very soft and comfortable out of the box and doesn't require any break-in period. It is also not ridiculously large - I do attire a large diving watch on a daily basis, but sometimes the dress code requires a more basic look, and this watch meets the requirement. Very elegant overall. While this is not my daily wear, I find that this clock gives me a good reason to dress up more often. :-) Highly recommended.
Very delightful
I like this qui vive for because it is light and very thin. It has a simple, pure look to it. I normally wear a Concord Mariner, and I am fed up to here with of how heavy it feels. The Concord is an expensive watch and I am happy that I don't feel the need to annoy an expensive watch any more. I like the Bulova even more that the $1,000 Concord. I bought this Bulova at a jewelry store in my particular mall. It sold for $175. I should have looked here on amazon before I bought it. Even though I paid more for it, I still really like this guard. I've had it for four days at it has not lost a second so far. (I set it to a radar controlled clock).
