Artistic winder for the money - and display, to boot!
I have a number of ineluctable watches and multi-winders in which they're stored when not worn. However, my prize is the Rolex Datejust SS & Gold watch my overdue father wore. While it is too precious to wear except on very special occasions, I did not want it locked somewhere else in a big cabinet with all of the others. This handy winder with the viewport was the perfect answer.It sits proudly on my credenza in my bookwork, so that I can see the watch whenever I want - and the wonderful memories it evokes. True, it does make a unlikely sound when rotating. However, for me it is a reminder to let my gaze wonder over to the watch, so the "noise" - such as it is - is a extra.The slow speed of the winder and the automatic "1-hour-on-and-3-hours-off" helps keep against overwinding. The choice of "clockwise" or "anti-clockwise" rotation is important - some automatics will not snake but one direction. Check your watch manual, your jeweler or the manufacturer to be sure.The...

Works, until it doesn't. If you can solder... it's a custodian.
Had this winder for about two years. It stopped working after about a year, and I design that was it - get what you pay for. But I refused to buy a 2nd one, or a more expensive one. So I opened it up (to seemingly find nothing wrong), smacked it around and left it in the garage ("dog put up") for a month, and it started working again... for a few months, then it didn't, again. Finally, I thought I had nothing else to waste, so I opened it up again. This time I saw the problem. The control chip had one of the wires that were soldered to it that was gradually upcoming off. This time, it had completely broken off, and wasn't connected to the solder point. The wires are inadequate, but whatever. I re-stripped the wire, soldered it back on, and now it's working like new again. Until, I imagine, the internal movements cause something else to sport down.

Out-and-out BUY
I own six diplomat winders including this picayune gem. It spins a 270 gram watch with no difficulty. I have had mine for four months and keep it near my bed. The movement is soundless and runs like a champ. I have had virtuousness success with the diplomat brand of winders as oppossed to the problems some have had with the more expensive brands. A eximious piece of furniture this is not. It just does the job of keeping your watches wound. Watches with a max band width of 26mm and 50mm specimen width should fit.

Reasonable, but works perfectly.
I got this to keep my Rolex blow when I went on vacation. I have a knock-around watch I use when I am out of the country and I know it is bad to let a self-winding see stop as the oil pools and other bad things can happen.I was a little concerned because it was so cheap, but when I got it and tried it out it was adroit. They do recommend getting a power timer and having it only run 4 hours a day to keep it from overwinding . . . since one of those store times are less than $5, not a big deal. To get one that was completely automatic would have cost 3 times what this one does.It is down to the ground silent, so you could have it in your bedroom. It only goes one direction, either clock-wise or counter. I consulted with my Rolex superb and he said either would work . . . also said that it was impossible to overwind any Rolex made after 1972 as they put in a safety system that stops it from winding more than the stem from can take.This is a good buy.

There are to all intents better watch winders on the market
I needed a isolated automatic watch winder and didn't want to spend a lot. This fit the bill in that regard. However, it's performance is top-heavy. I have to fiddle with the plug every time I put the watch in it to make sure it runs. If I don't, there's a good unintentionally it's not going to work right. I would spend a little more and get a different automatic watch winder unless you like having to tip to play with the plug every day.

Most successfully Buy for the Money
For the cost, this is the best deal going. One would have difficulty finding a comparable winder at the local jewels or watch repair shop at this price point. I have two of these winders and they have been flawless in their performance. I use them to keep my Omega Speedmaster, Tag Heuer Monaco, Invicta Pro Diver and an off-mark (China Movement) Rousseau. They have the same features and electrics as some of the more costly winders; the key differences being the polystyrene cover used in this unit vice hand made woods, veneers fabrics and leathers found on treat end models. For the budget minded, this is the way to go.
Does the job
I have several inescapable watches and needed a watch winder without breaking the bank, and this item fits the bill. Pretty intelligible setup and operation, just mount two watches and turn it on. You can set the winding duration from 33 seconds to 1 hour as well as environment the watch rotation to clockwise, random, or counter clockwise. It is extremely quite, you can't agree it when it is rotating the watches. It is made of plastic, so not as nice looking as the more expensive winders made of wood, but it does the job. I'm pulchritudinous happy with it so far.

Does the job and priced preferable.
This it the finest deal I could find on a cost per watch basis. It works just fine, and it would be silly to give it any less than 5 stars.However, I now see what appears to be the call for same item with the Belocia brand name instead of Diplomat for $8 less. I just ordered one, so we'll see.
