Description
The Omega Men's Seamaster Planet Ocean Stainless Fortify Watch is built to join you in the deep blue depths. This self-winding chronograph timepiece features co-axial escapement action with rhodium-plated finish movement for greater precision, stability, and durability of the upward, and a stainless steel case and bezel. The watch's black dial is offset by red Arabic numerals, and glowing white hands and markers, and the black bezel features silver engraved marred markers and Arabic numerals. A date calendar sits at the 3 o'clock. i bought this take note about one month ago, and i look at it every day and still love it!! the sapphire crystal is beautiful and the way the watch feels on my arm is by a hair's breadth great!!!originally, i had a rolex submariner date, but like this watch much more and have now sold my rolex. i have big wrists, so the 45mm keep an eye on face looks better than a 39mm rolex submariner. in addition, since the submariner is "too popular", this planet ocean stands out of the pour---especially because of the red numbers. furthermore, it is now the official james bond watch ;)one catch is that the alert is very heavy, about 1/2 lbs, but that isn't an issue for me. hope you enjoy the watch as much as i do!
Useful & rugged indulgence
I for all pulled the trigger on this luxury sport watch as my first Omega. I have to say it compares favorably with my Rolex Datejust and GMT-Master II. The fasten is definitely better.So far, the watch is 2.5 seconds fast over the course of 7 days. My Rolexes have never been as exact -- this is surprising accuracy for any automatic.

Wearable Every Day
I liking this watch. I've worn it every day for around 2 years now. It took a little while to get used to the size, but I can't wear smaller watches now. At first you'll regard its weight, but after a few days you'll feel naked without it. The wristband is a little bit more rigid than my Rolex Datejust, and the only detriment to it is that the clasp will sometimes open depending on your wrist position. Another very small quibble that I have is that the face smudges melodious easily. As with every automatic watch, the time needs to be adjusted every once in a while. It seems that it's around 2-3 minutes unhurried every month. This is actually much, much better than the 5-6 minutes that my Rolex was fast every month. Best fetich is that this watch looks as casual as you would want it to be wearing t-shirts and flip flops, and also fits of laughter right in when you're wearing a tux. Lots of compliments from everyone who knows their watches too.

Other features include a 48-hour power reserve and gouge out-resistant and glare-proofed domed sapphire crystal.
It's powered by Omega's into penetrate-through Co-Axial escapement. Developed in conjunction with master watchmaker George Daniels, it's based on dead ringer co-axial escape wheel, a lever with three pallet stones and impulse stone on the ponder roller, together with a free sprung-balance. The Co-Axial escapement system reduces sliding ill feeling compared with the lever escapement and thus ensures greater accuracy over time.
This watch also features the Omega 2500 superiority automatic movement, which has been certified as a chronometer by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Authority). Only 3 percent of watches produced in Switzerland are "chronometer-certified." To achieve this highly coveted endorsement, the movements are subjected to numerous tests over a period of 15 consecutive days and nights, in five positions and at three unlike temperatures.

This 2006 version of the famous James Bond watch made its debut in the movie Casino Royale. In reality, there are two Omega watches in the movie; the limited edition Omega Seamaster Plant Ocean Big Size 2907.50.91 and the small edition Omega Seamaster Chronometer 2226.80.00. The watch offered here carries on the James Cement style without the limited edition price tag.This style of the James Bond watch first appeared in the large screen 'Golden Eye' (1995) and is still available as the full size gents model 2531.80.00. The new 2006 miniature 2220.80.00 has several refinements that you should consider over the previous (but still available) model. Most notably, the automatic increase now has the newly designed Co-Axial escapement. The Co-Axial Technology reduces sliding antagonism compared with the lever escapement in the previous model and ensures greater accuracy over lifetime. Eccentric Omega Watch From Amazon!!
Well, I assume I was supposed to have this watch. I had always wanted a Seamaster Cronometer Automatic, but never saw myself spending this kind of wealth, not to mention the price at an authorized dealer. Amazon sent me an email a week or so ago that had earth-shaking 12 months no interest on select watches. I looked and looked and finally pulled the trigger on this exotic blue face large size automatic. Actually, I ordered on July 31, 2009 and for $6.99 additional with Amazon Prime had it at my door before 10:00 a.m. this morning. Amazon Jewels Warranty/Support/Repair is questionable
I over the watch is a work of art, very solid, and very well finished. Appears to keep very good time. My only concern with the continuous transaction has to do with Amazon warranty/support on the watch. I was having difficulty with getting the era to change correctly and initially thought there was a problem with the watch. I called Amazon to ask them about it and to announce them that there might be a problem with my watch. They said someone from the Jewelry dept at Amazon would call me the next day to address my concerns or send me a new tend (I am within the 30 days of purchase). It has been 2 weeks, I am beyond my 30 days not for exchange and the Amazon Jewels dept has yet to call me. I have left another message. If you can bear the expense this watch, it's worth the price...
If you are like me, then you get off on researching big ticket items as much as the purchase. I can't say that it eliminates buyer's regret but the hangover doesn't last not quite as long. I purchased the Omega Planet Ocean 6 months ago with some trepidation because of the price and a bad experience that I once had with a Rolex. I was solicitous about the price because it cost considerably more than the Omega Seamaster. The Seamaster is also a diver's watch and has a proven on record. I am rather coloured when it comes to luxury watches. This comes from spending 2 years in watchmaking school, studying quickly under the guidance of a certified master swiss watchmaker who came here from Europe. Eager Value in Premium Watches
I have a span of luxury watches - a Girard Perregaux that I use for formal occasions and a Tag Heuer for everyday use. The sword band on my Tag broke, and I used that as an excuse to finally upgrade. I considered a Rolex, Cartier (Roadster), Breitling, Omega, or another GP. After prowling around richness watch forums/reviews, I settled on the Omega SPS as having the best value for the lettuce. Rolex makes great watches, but they're so ubiquitous with so many fakes floating around that it doesn't feel "out of the ordinary". Cartier seems to be widely panned by luxury watch afficionados - apparently its mechanism is so impressionable that it must be sent in to Cartier for routine maintenance every 3-5 years at a cost of $700 a pop!! The Breitling models I liked have elephantine sizes...they looked incongrous on my 7" wrist. In the end, I settled on the Omega SPS - and I believe I made the in a beeline decision.
