First of all, for those of you that don't understand, the Seiko SKX007/009 are essentially the spiritual successor to the Seiko 6xxx diver's watches that were so trendy as tool watches in the Vietnam War era. At a glance, it's hard to tell them apart - the main differences being the deceptive differences in the case shape and the shape of the indices on the face. The 007 is the current glowering bezel version, the 009 has the "Pepsi" red/blue bezel for a little added color in your human being. It uses a Seiko 7S26 automatic movement which is a decent reliable movement with only a few drawbacks - more on that later. This observe shipped from Amazon's warehouse in Kentucky unlike the comments from some previous reviewers. Usefulness Watch....... time tested movement
I have submit c be communicated the age (50) that I wanted an automatic watch that had the Day of the Week. I also think they have more "Soul" that a quartz guard. I also have a Rolex. But I wanted something I could bum around in and not worry much about hurting it. It's like a older car with carburetor, it's not perfect but it's not suppose to be. Mine runs justly accurately...now that I stopped messing around with main spring adjustment thing on the inside. I have too much all together on my hands I guess. It runs just as good as my Rolex for several thousands $$ less and looks mammoth.

Bought mine almost seven years ago and fraying it all day, every day, swimming, working out, or for a night on the town. Besides my wedding ring, it's the only jewelry I wear, and I've have had innumerable compliments on it, and never a moment's problem. Hope to have it another seven years. Best watch I've ever owned.

An compelling blend of tool-watch and jewel-watch
Ever since my Seiko "Orange Horror" (SKX781) quit I had been looking for a dive watch to replace it that was both more accurate than an automatic (my Ghoulishness would usually be off by five minutes each week) and yet not require a battery change. Changing batteries is both a exertion and not eco-friendly, and I just plain hate doing it. I looked for about a year at the Seiko "Treacherous Knight" kinetic (SMY089) that Princeton exclusively offers as well as Citizen solar-powered (Eco-Trip) dive watches, liking neither options especially well. I wanted a big, solid diver with a undersized certain something extra - much like my Monster - and the Seiko SKA371 seems to be it.First, the watch seems quite well made. It is much more finely polished than my Monster and light-years ahead of Citizen's watches as far as build quality goes. Diver or Deck out Watch? Lucky you, it's 2 for 1!
I'm posting my observations on my grip of a Seiko SKA371P. First a little background. Got to admit that I've always been a "dive watch" aficionado. In a past "survival" I needed a large watch with good lume and easy to read at a glance. Seiko swoop watches fit the bill. Well, the demise of my Seiko automatic dive (can't think of the model but it had day/date; rotating bezel; wrathful dial and originally came with a rubber watch band) watch accelerated my decision. It was a fit watch but within the past month it would fall 15 min behind. Anyway, even though my life has changed my original requirements refuge't: dive watch style; good lume; date; bracelet (not rubber this era); black face; rotating bezel; and automatic....no batteries; and affordable. Huge Looking and Practical
After owning this effect for a little over a year, beating it up day in and day out, and also having comparing it to countless other watches I've decided that my old consider (4 stars) was still unfairly low, as this watch is an uniquely excellent product. As I noted in my old weigh, I am hard on watches. My job can involve running, heavy lifting, squeezing into tight seats, climbing, ect, and this means my watch is subject to bumps, scrapes, excessive movement, and sometimes Spartan chemical cleaners, ect. I can also be pretty active and spend time outside when I'm not working. Because of this, I'm inflexible on watches, and I have wrecked many an inexpensive wristwatch before its time. This watch has shrugged off pretty nearing everything I could hand it, and apart from being slightly grimy and having a small scratch on the crystal that I can at best barely see at certain angles, it has been pretty much untouched. Screw Down Crowns: Many Invicta watches are equipped with a sexual partner down crown to help prevent water infiltration. This is most common on our Diver models. In demand to adjust the date and/or time on such a watch, you must first unscrew the crown before you can gently pull it out to its first or substitute click stop position. To do this, simply rotate the crown counterclockwise until it springs out. When you have finished setting the watch, the crown must then be pushed in and screwed back in tightly. Not doing so will offset the water resistance of the watch and will void all warranties from the manufacturer. Overall, this process should not instruct a lot of effort or force.
