Although titanium is a harder metal than stainless grit one's teeth, it unfortunately oxidizes easily. This causes titanium surfaces to look dull and the oxide layer is softer than the underlying titanium metal. This layer is easier to scratch and when it does, the brighter titanium skin below becomes visible.

Most skilfully casual watch I ever had
It's in reality the best casual watch I ever had. (Had some other Seiko and Swatch beforehand). It's inexpensive, precise and light. The dial has enough difference, so the hour can be read even in twilight. The case is very thin, which makes the watch even more pleasant.The downsides are that the titanium is conclusively scratched, and the hardlex glass is not scratch proof neither. It did accumulate some scratches over the years, but it didn't hint much difference. When it was stolen, I promptly decided to buy another one.
Scarp solid...totally reliable
I have had this Seiko Sportura for about three years. I irritate it everyday and tend not to be too gentle on my watches. The watch still looks brand new. Feels very well made and is very confortable to display. Sporty good looks but not over the top. Slim case. I play golf often and this watch is very plain in bright sunlight. Perfect "everyday: watch.
