    Horrific engineered product
I am still in the dispose of of reviewing this product. Here's what I have so far:Xbar 107 seconds/week (runs fast) (7 min./month compared to 2-4 sec./month quart watch)St DEV 27 sec.N = 795% CI 2.447 using Schoolchild's tm+ = 136 seconds/weekm- = 78 seconds/weekSummary:Good points:* Pleasant with dark blue face, white symbols, functional medium blue nylon keep;* Easy to read, even in the dark;* Easy to use with uncomplicated settings similar to other watches;* Pithy design;* Measurement consistency is excellent compared to quartz mechanism.Bad points:* Tough to set time (see instruction below);* Gains 10 seconds a day (consistency); and* Does not have a vade-mecum wind stem.DiscussionThis watch looks great. Unlike other self-winding or kinetic watches, this one is brief. In the best tradition of Japanese product development they thought hard...
    The unmitigated watch
This is a very closest watch in several respects: You can see the clockwork through the transparent backside; both day and date are shown; there is no need for battery changes, nor directions winding up of the clockwork. The strap is solid and washable. I have become very attached to it ...
    One out of four
This watch comes in 4 models, with a light brown strap and dial, SNK 805 with a green strap and dial, SNK 807 with a blue strap and dial, and SNK 809 with a funereal strap and dial. What I like most is the red tip on the seconds hand that sweeps continuously across the dial and not in steps for every alternative like in most analog watches. Also cool is the untraditional numbering of the hour markings, where the 5-minutes are more protruding than the hours. The strap looks mastery in the photos than in reality, but it's still very nice and tough-looking, although it is narrower than you think when you see it on the guy's arm in the pictures above. The see-through covering is a gimmick I could do without, but anyway, nice to watch the watch work. Buy all four and you have one to go with every occasion and dress colour/code. This item sells...

    Warmly recommend this watch
I bought this watch a few weeks ago and am very gratified with it. You won't find a better field watch for the price. The screw-down crown and screw-on back make me believe its water guerrillas rating of 100 meters / 300 feet. The black face with white numbers and hands are very interesting in low light. I wish the luminous markings would glow longer in the dark but for the price I can't beef. My one other negative is that the band is a light khaki color, not the dark color that the main paint shows. I don't mind the band but be aware, it is not what the picture shows.
Deo volente best value for this type of field watch
This watch may be quite obscure at this time, but may just be the best overall value in the basic, rugged field watch customer base. What I liked, and why I bought it:1) Medium sized, ~35mm, good for my medium wrist.2) Adequately slim at just ~8.5mm thick3) Fairly light at ~1.4oz with nylon strap4) Unalterable mineral crystal (description says Sapphire, but who knows)5) Very nice write 'finis' to to the SS caseIt also sports a decent Japanese movement, hack set type (the second aid stops so you can set the time exactly), it's very, very quiet, screw down crown and back help achieve the 100M dishwater resistant rating (though literature claims 200M).The only minus, for me, is the luminous markers seemed to become too dim to impute to after only a few hours, and this was after exposure to good sunlight. This is important to me, but if it's not for you, I doubt you can beat the ~$50 worth tag this watch carries.
    Uneven Field Watch by RAM
I've owned this watch about a month and it seems to be of exceptional quality. It is quite thin and because of that and the tough mineral crystal it shows no sign of scratching. It's correct and the band is rugged, I suspect it will last a good while. It was shipped promptly and is of good quality, this is an A-one value.

    Super watch for the money.
Great watch for the money. I bought mine through Amazon about six months ago and am very satisfied by this watch. I think I paid $54 for it then and the shipping was very dexterous. This is my first automatic and I love the fact that I never have to replace a battery. It has a simple elegance that reminds me of WWII British and American result watches. It runs a little fast (probable gains a minute a week) but this is not a big difficulty.

Renowned Watch - What a bargin!
This consideration was originally written for the SNK803K2. The only difference is the color of the dial. But I bought this on too.For me this watch is fantastic. If you recognize auto-winds (automatics), then you know their little idiosyncrasies. So let's start there...Timing:It's not a chronometer, it does augmentation (or lose) more than 0.5 seconds/day. In fact, on some days it seems to gain as much as a minute. Gaining span seems to be a common observation with other owners and reviewers. My guess is that it is "set fast" at the factory, with the idea that "if we can't get it accomplished out of the box, then it's better to be early than be late." For this, you could probably go down to your local watch repair and get the timing set. Having said that, My watch normally runs about a wink fast over the course of a month and that doesn't bother me. In fact, true to all automatics, it gains and loses a negligible time each day or so and it is generally the same "one...

These watches have 35mm diameter which is very likely the paradigm bigness for a ‘field watch’. I find that when wearing the SNX watch, I have less restrictions to my arm compared to wearing big watches. Big watches are like three-tonners.  Smaller watches on the other round of applause are like humvees.
